Winding, film advance and frame counter
A stiff thumbwheel, a counter that skips, or a rewind knob that won't stay down is usually a sticky or worn part in the advance train.
Common symptoms
- The thumbwheel is stiff, gritty or won't turn
- The frame counter doesn't advance or skips
- The rewind knob won't stay down, or is broken
What I do
I clean and lubricate the advance mechanism and replace worn or broken parts as needed, using original Olympus parts from my stock.
